If you're having problems with our email subscription facility, these notes may help.

Whenever you submit an email address to be added to our mailing lists, or request a change in your subscriptions, an email will be sent to you requesting confirmation. This will contain a link, and you just need to click the link to confirm the changes. This is an attempt to reduce the volume of spam emails, and prevents other people from using your email address to sign you up for something you didn't request.

If the link in the confirmation email is not clicked, no further changes can be made to the subscription settings for that email address. This is designed to stop you being bombarded with subscription change confirmation emails. However, it does mean that if the email doesn't arrive, or if you delete it without clicking the link, no further changes can be made to your subscription settings. In this case, please contact us by emailing to request that your email subscription be reset.

If emails are not getting through to you from our website, there are several possible reasons:

• Your spam filter, bulk mail settings, or corporate firewall may be blocking them.
• There may be a temporary problem with your mail server or our mail server.
• If the link in the confirmation email has not been clicked, you will not be signed up to the list.
• You may have mistyped your email address.
